Still Standing
My life is a cheesy disco song; "First I was afraid. I was petrified....I will survive. As long as I know how to love, I know I will survive!!!!!!!!!!!
I've been away. Sort of. I thought I'd take a blog break and when I came baack all would be smoothe and I could dispense with the drama. Well, it looked like it might be a long wait and so I'm back, drama and all. (D) told me yesterday, my life is entertaining. I think she must have some very strange idea of what's entertaining. My response was "tragic kingdom." That's what I'm livivvin. Here's this week's
Top 10:
_____________________________________________________________________________________
10. My boss still hasn't turned into a troll despite the fact that I wish this upon
him daily. No one is more deserving of a hooked nose giant mole and a humped
back. This girl keeps wishing.....
9. My beloved 'Maro has the shakes and according to Rich down at Tires Plus, it's
going to cost $400 to fix. I still haven't fixed the window. Maybe baby can
hold on. I only have 2 more payments.
8. I thought I had a church group to hang out with but hired one of them to do
work at the house. The relationship soured when $$$$$ entered
the picture. The Benjamin brings out the worst in people.
7. I've almost given up on my dream of Boston. It's gonna take a miracle and these
landing a job is just that; a miracle.
6. I can't remember what being in love feels like.
5. I don't remember what feeling good feels like.
4. I quit the parttime job and now I have to come home at the end of the day.
3. I'm starting to know what regret feels like.
2. I'm going to have to wait longer than I thought for the Daylight Robbers to get
the kickass Karma they deserve, but that day is coming.
DRUM ROLL PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
1. My kitchen burned down. I hired the world's worse contractor and I haven't had
a stove to cook on or a sink to wash dishes in since September.
Thursday and Thanksgiving will come whether or not my house is in order. So, I ordered dinner from Earth Fare; an organic turkey which died having never tasted
antibiotics. There's something incorrect about a turkey having lived a pampered
life only to be slaughtered to end up on a picnic blanket in my living room for
Thanksgiving. But what the gobble gobble.....I'm still standing despite everything and that alone is worth a celebration.
I'll be back!
